In response to my fascination with the mysterious I create objects which contain a balance of the familiar and the strange. Ambiguous in their provenance, and the nature of their purpose, I try to infuse these objects with suggestions of ritual, and usage by ancient peoples. I hope to remind the viewer of the vastness of cultural diversity and to hint at the existence of, as yet undiscovered, civilizations. Cross-cultural interconnections are also hinted at with suggestions of Shamanism, medicine sticks, totems, and relics.
